Rundeck

Rundeck is often described as Jenkins for Operations. It is a tool that can help systems administrators to create collections of tasks which complete some action on remote servers.

Docker

Docker provides a mechanism to easily manage a piece of software in a complete filesystem that contains everything it needs to run: code, runtime, system tools, system libraries – anything you can install on a server. This guarantees that it will always run the same, regardless of the environment it is running in.

MRAID

MRAID, or “Mobile Rich Media Ad Interface Definitions” is the IAB Mobile Marketing Center of Excellence’s project to define a common API (Application Programming Interface) for mobile rich media ads that will run in mobile apps. This is a standardized set of commands, designed to work with HTML5 and JavaScript, that developers creating rich media ads use to communicate what those ads do (expand, resize, get access to device functionalities such as the accelerometer, etc) with the apps into which they are being served.

Two Factor Authentication

Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is a term commonly associated with making your digital life more secure, but what does it mean, how does it typically work, and why should you bother?

Sensu

Sensu is a distributed scalable monitoring solution, written in Ruby with a JVM option for Enterprise users. It has multi-master redundancy using a message broker architecture to distribute messages from clients. Clients are configured to either push messages to the master, or provide results in response to requests from the masters.

Consul

Consul makes it simple for services to register themselves and to discover other services via a DNS or HTTP interface. Register external services such as SaaS providers as well. Pairing service discovery with health checking prevents routing requests to unhealthy hosts and enables services to easily provide circuit breakers. Consul scales to multiple datacenters out of the box with no complicated configuration. Look up services in other datacenters, or keep the request local.
